Rohilkhand College of Nursing, Bareilly constitute unit of Bareilly International University, Bareilly UP. Organized an online mode workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Patent and Design Filing” in association with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), Government of India, Nagpur on 2nd February 2026.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Sushil Kumar Thakur, Registrar, Bareilly International University, and as per the support of Mr. Sarnam Singh, IQAC Coordinator &Dr. Priyanka .A. Masih, Principal Rohilkhand College/School of Nursing. The workshop was successfully organized at Rohilkhand College of Nursing, Bareilly.
The session was delivered by Mr. Raju Kumar, Assistant Controller of Patents and Designs, RGNIIPM. He elaborated on the concept of patents, objectives of patent filing, different types of patents, steps involved in patent publication, and the documents required for patent and design filing. Students from M.Sc I Year, M.Sc II Year, NPCC I Year, NPCC II Year, B.Sc II Year, B.Sc III Year, B.Sc IV Year, and ANM II Year, along with faculty members, actively participated in the workshop.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Anitha Martin (Vice Principal, RCN, Bareilly) and Mrs. Karishma Goswami (Assistant Professor, RCN, Bareilly).
The workshop was highly informative and beneficial for both students and faculty members, enhancing their knowledge and awareness regarding intellectual property rights, patent procedures, and design filing processes.
