BMIIL’s College Catalysts Orientation Sets the Campus Buzzing with Innovation

Bareilly, 15 November 2025 — Bareilly Medtech Incubation & Innovation Labs (BMIIL) kicked off its College Catalysts Orientation Program with a dynamic blend of outdoor action and entrepreneurial creativity, turning the BIU campus into a live innovation arena.

The event was designed and conducted by the Co-Founder & CEO of BMIIL, Mr. Claudius Lazarus and initiated by Prof.(Dr.) Arjun Agarwal – Co-founder and Advisory board member of BMIIL, along with the registrar of BIU, Dr.Sushil Kumar Thakur.

The showstopper was an adrenaline-filled Startup Challenge held on the university football field. Medical objects, cleverly wrapped and hidden around the field, were fetched by the four teams of cross discipline doctors(catalysts), who then had just 15 minutes to craft a startup idea around the object —and 2 minutes to pitch it. The result? Fast thinking, bold ideas, and a lively pitch battle that kept the audience hooked.

The event also featured a crisp, myth-busting session on Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and a fun, competitive quiz that saw enthusiastic participation from all catalysts.

The program concluded with an inspiring Innovation Pledge, signed by all team members, reinforcing their commitment to creativity and ethical innovation. The pledge photos captured the high energy and excitement that defined the day.

With this successful kickoff, BMIIL continues to build a strong, action-oriented ecosystem for medtech innovation at Bareilly International University.
